Jordan x KAWS Capsule | Sport Meets Street Art
MJ and KAWS both have ties to Brooklyn New York and have mastered their respective crafts. At the intersection of sports and arts, two great minds come together for a unique footwear experience.
The first ever collaborative product between Jordan Brand and KAWS, the shoe advances Jordan Brand’s experimental mixing of materials by removing the silhouette’s traditional plastic accents and flooding the upper with premium grey suede. The color is a nod to KAWS’ companion pieces, and is punctuated by a glow-in-the-dark outsole. To finish it off, KAWS’ familiar “XX” reads boldly over the heel tab’s classic “AIR” marking.
Apparel
The Jordan IV x KAWS is complemented by an apparel collection. Featuring a coaches jacket, 5-panel hat (a favorite of KAWS) and a hoodie. KAWS has a background in apparel, which was important for the Jordan Brand to show off.
The Jordan x KAWS Capsule launches on March 28 in Greater China and March 31 for the rest of the world.
