About
Devonta White.
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, a city that taught me to dream big and work harder. My mother grew up in Jamaica and moved to the US as a young child, and the world she opened up for me became the foundation for everything I've built since.
My first international trip was to the Bahamas with a local church group. I was away from my parents for the first time, standing somewhere completely new, and something clicked. I knew then that this was only the beginning.
That was just the first stamp in a passport that now reflects over 40 countries across a decade of exploring. Japan. All across Europe. South America. Africa. I've eaten meals I still think about, stood in places that humbled me, and had conversations that changed how I see the world. And I'm nowhere near done.
By day, I work in social media and content marketing, a decade of helping brands tell their stories with intention. By night, I'm planning the next trip, curating our home in Harlem with my husband, and finally getting back to telling my own.
That's what FitFlyFellow is. It's my story. The places I've been. The food I can't stop talking about. The life my husband and I are building. The adventures I almost talked myself out of, and why I'm glad I didn't.
My goal has always been simple: to inspire you to stop wishing and start going. The world is bigger, more delicious, and more welcoming than you think. You just have to show up.
